What are springs? A spring is "a natural discharge of water from a rock or soil to the surface" (Mayda 585).

Blue Spring



Blue Spring is the 6th largest spring in Missouri, and it is the deepest spring in Missouri. Blue Springs produces 90 million gallons of water per day (http://www.seecurrentriver.com/2012/06/blue-spring/).   Amazing!!!!! This place seems absolutely beautiful

  • Ozarks springs produce billions of gallons of water annually. 
  • Missouri's Big Spring is the largest and has produced one billion gallons of water in one day.
  • Arkansas mineral water include Eureka springs and Hot springs in the Ouachita Mountains.

"Geothermal springs are scattered throughout the United States. There are more than 190 therapeutic geothermal spas, including Saratoga Springs, New York; Warm Springs, Georgia; Hot Springs, Virginia; White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia; Hot Springs, Arkansas; Thermopolis, Wyoming; and Calistoga, California" (Mayda 291). If you live in any of these states, You should go check out some of these therapeutic springs. 

In California, we have the Calistoga hot springs. There are many resorts in Calistoga to visit. Have you gone to any of them? Sounds like a good oasis!!
